How to take care of your muslimah swimsuit

10 Tips on how to take care of your muslimah swimsuit

1. Swimsuit needs to be washed by hand with a mild soap after every use (to help remove the chlorine)

2. Do not dry your swimsuit under direct sunshine

3. Do not wash your swimsuit in washing machine

4. Do not put it in a dryer to dry

5. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight after swimming

6. Avoid using in a hot tub, the swimsuit is sensitive to chemicals and temperature

7. Do not wring to dry, roll it in a towel to take out most of the water and hang to dry indoors

8. Make sure it is dry before you fold and keep in a drawer

9. Give it a day to dry before using it again, get another one if you swim daily

10. Careful of rough surfaces, for example place a towel before you sit by the pool in your swimsuit

Your muslimah swimsuit needs proper care in order for it to last longer, just like any other swimsuit, improper handling will ruin the swimsuit material. As there are several beautiful designs to choose, why not get two? :)

I wish i had a muslimah swimsuit 6 years ago

Just wanted to relate something that happened in the past. I went to Tioman Island for my honeymoon (6 years ago) and was excited about going on a snorkeling trip there. We almost didn't go as i did not have proper attire or swimsuit to wear for the trip. Had no idea about the existence of muslimah swimsuits, or swimsuits that are suitable for muslim women to wear. Not sure whether even the burqini which started the trend of muslimah swimming suits had been created yet back then.

So like i said, i almost missed that trip, but since we were determined to go anyway, we decided to go wearing shirts and tracks anyway.

Not the best thing to wear for snorkeling ;)

Hehe, i really had fun snorkeling, wish i had cameras to take pictures down there. I always loved the water, and now with the availability of modest muslimah swimsuit i can enjoy such activities without any worries.

If you want to read more about our trip or see some more pics please go to my husband's learn to swim site where he talked about our Tioman Trip.
